Born and raised on the island of Gotland in the Baltic sea, the sea and small boats have always been a big part of my life. Living in the UK since 1998, near Milford Haven in Wales. Used to use boats as bed-sits when I worked in London. I am relatively new to sailing, having spent most time on motor boats, but am now determined to build experience with sailing yachts, so bought a Bavaria 38 in the Med a couple of years ago. RYA Day Skipper, ICC, and VHF certificates. I'm very keen to be on the water (as well as and in). I have also crewed on others boats and love the tidal waters in the Irish Sea and Lundy. I've sailed through Jack Sound (google it) a couple of times, have rounded Land's End at night in force 7-8, and crossing over to the Balearic islands on an Amel. Loving it! I'm a cruiser, not a racer. My view is that if the passage takes longer then that's just great as it means more time at sea. :-)
