About Me:: Interested in finding more crew for my cutter or sailing on others’ boats in other ports of call. Work remotely most of the time. Seeking only platonic, shared sailing experiences right now (with new male or female friends), but also enjoy the arts, singer-songwriter folk music, and theater. Big rescue dog lover, enjoy creative writing and photography.
Sailing Experience:: Avid sailor since 2006, but mostly day sailing—all on Lake Michigan. Co-owner of my second sailboat (a cutter, first was a sloop), with significant boat rehab experience (fiberglass repair, bright work restoration, etc.). Natural affinity with map reading and directions and also rudimentary understanding of electronics and various boat systems (electric, navigation, water, waste, bilge pumps) as well as sail trim and weather conditions. Still young enough to rise to just the right new sailing challenge.
Sailing Qualifications:: Two ASA sailing courses, sail every weekend during our short sailing season, have crossed the lake twice with just one other person. Have learned from my mistakes.
Nautical Miles Logged:: Maybe 500.
