About Me:

I am enjoying retired life cruising the US East Coast and traveling the world after a career as an IT executive. I would like to keep cruising for the next couple of years before settling down and am searching for a cruising mate slash soul mate gal with similar interests to partner with me, short- or long-term.

Sapphire is a well-maintained 2014 47' Tartan with all the bells and whistles (generator, water-maker, washer/dryer, etc.)

Divorced (2017) with two grown (and successful and wonderful) children.
Masters degree from Harvard.
Not particularly wedded to Florida; currently just a storage unit there.

Sailing Experience:

I've been sailing since 1986 and have bareboat chartered and taught sailing in the Caribbean many times (windwards, leewards, and western) and in Greece. I have sailed my own boats along the US East Coast with family and friends. I sailed my own boat from Tampa to the Bahamas to Maine and back in 2022. I am currently (November 2024) sailing in the Bahamas for the winter after cruising from Tampa to Martha’s Vineyard in the fall.

I was an Instructor and an Instructor Evaluator for the ASA for many years and captained a 49-passanger launch in NY Harbor part-time (no longer active in either).

I spent a few seasons racing as crew on J/24's and a J/44.
