Sailgrl

I’ve been sailing my whole life and most of my experience happened by osmosis - my dad is an incredible sailor who single-handed the Pearson 26’ I grew up on, around Buzzards Bay and the Elizabeth Islands. I have fond memories of our countless hours on the ocean, some tenuous but most were pure pleasure. He often entrusted me and my sister with the tiller while he set the sails, even flew the kite from time to time. Mostly we were referred to as the "Deck Queens". Fast forward to 2014 when I joined a small group of women with a love for racing various boats (H12, Bullseye, J24) and so I started racing (small fleet and not crazy competitive) and fell in love all over again with sailing. I live in the Northeast and the sailing season is way too short - I'm finding a way to sail year round as I realize that life is passing me by very quickly!
