Born and raised in Virginia, attended college in South Carolina, had a twenty- year Navy career serving on eight warships, and since then have continued to serve the Navy and DoD as a contractor. Married for forty plus years, three children all grown and two of the three have married with families of their own. Have grown up sailing and racing, love the thrill of racing starts and close finishes, and just being out on the water under sail. Always on the lookout for crew to race my 56 year old yawl, which is why I'm here.

Born and raised on Chesapeake Bay, sailing has been a passion since I first started sailing a wooden Sailfish when I was 9 or 10. I graduated to Moth's, to 505's, to crewing on neighbor's MORC boats, to 470's in college. After returning home after a 20 year Navy career, I continued crewing and finally purchased my own boat and have been racing her regularly since 2016.
