About Me:: I am a high school physics teacher who is addicted to sailing, esp. sailboat racing. Currently frostbiting a Melges 15 in Centerport, looking for a crew person to develop friendship, then perhaps dating and relationship.
Looking forward to retiring in 2026, purchasing a cruising boat and setting sail for Greenland, Iceland, Europe and beyond.
Sailing Experience:: I started sailing in a Blue Jay at 7 years old. Raced on many boats between early 70s and 2005, primarily as a driver (helmsman). I've done several Block Island Race Weeks, the major long distance races on LIS and day racing including the old Manhasset Bay YC Fall Series and American YC Spring and Fall Series, among many other races.
Started windsurfing in 2005, did that exclusively for 10 years, for the past few years I've been windsurfing and racing with an old friend on his Ericson 39.
As stated above, currently frostbiting a Melges 15 that I own.
