The annual Round the Island Yacht Race is organized by the Island Sailing Club. Beginning and ending in Cowes, the date that it takes place depends on the tides. It is usually held during the month of June, although it may be held in late May or early July if the sea refuses to cooperate with the traditional timetable.
Referring of course to the classic boats sporting the popular gaff rig configuration of sails, the Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival is an annual event that takes place on the Isle of Wight; providing a weekend filled with family entertainment. In 2014 the celebrations happen from Friday 30th May, through to Sunday 1st June.

Greek Ionian to the Aegean and across to Turkey
One of the Caribbean’s premier sailing events, Antigua Sailing Week 2014 will attract over 100 boats from over 20 countries. The event draws more than 1,500 participants and some 5,000 spectators every year.
Port Solent is a destination marina near Portsmouth, Hampshire, and is well-known as the base for The yacht charter company Sunsail, however, there is another event held there which is increasing in popularity every year, the Easter Rally.
