Looking for a looper

Dates: September 2022
Crew Wanted
The Great Loop

I intend to start the Great Loop in September 2023. Probably not on a sailboat, by then I hope to have sold mine and bought a trawler of some description. I am seeking someone with a spirit of adventure to share watch duties etc on a fun-filled adventure through the Great Lakes and down the Mississippi to New Orleans and the Caribbean. Eventually heading north again up the eastern seaboard to complete the loop.

Classic Yacht Regatta, over to France and back

Dates: 3rd July 2022
Crew Wanted
Location: Medway, South Coast, Dartmouth, France/ Brittany and back

The best-laid plans! Crewing plans for the summer have just altered a bit and a couple of crew places are on offer, with an element of hop on and hop off available as well. Should you not have time for the full-time offer. My ambition is to sail the Classic Cross Channel Regatta, think wonderful parties linked by sailing from one to the other in company with 80+ Classic Yachts. Including several French boats and starts 9th July in Dartmouth. Finishes 16th July in Paimpol, Brittany. Includes major fireworks and celebrations for Bastille Day, Fête Nationale Française over there. For us it starts with the sail from Medway to Dartmouth, leaving on Sunday 3rd July, aiming to arrive by the end of the week. No particular itinerary, but if anyone wanted to do two or three days of it, I am sure we can accommodate that. The route is very scenic and usually pleasant, but I am not in charge of the weather. However, we do not sail at any cost and the Regatta start gets delayed if bad weather affects any of the boats getting to Dartmouth…
