FAB1 Million Pink Rib
FAB1 Million Pink Rib – Turbojet 325
Launched by Williams at the London Boat Show this year, Suzy Perry unveiled the FAB1 Million Pink Rib. The pink turbojet 325 has been donated to the Breast Cancer Care charity by Williams Performance Tenders. The rib was put up for auction on eBay and reached £16000.00. All the money raised will go the Breast Cancer Care charity as part of their FAB1 Million campaign to raise £1 million.
The FAB1 Million campaign was the idea of BBC radio presenter Chris Evans. He owns the FAB1 number plate that was made famous by Lady Penelope of Thunderbirds fame. The fictitious Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward was the London agent for International Rescue the secret organisation that is the subject of the marionette TV show. Lady Penelope owned a pink Rolls Royce with the number plate FAB1 and was driven to missions by her ever-faithful Chauffeur Parker. Evans approached Rolls Royce and asked them to assist him in his desire to re-create the iconic pink FAB1 Rolls. Rolls Royce was more than happy to help and the FAB1 million charity campaign was born. The FAB1 Rolls (complete with number plate) is available to hire and all proceeds from the hire go to the Breast Cancer Care charity. Breast Cancer Care provides information and support to anyone that is affected by breast cancer. They provide information and offer emotional and practical support, bring people affected by breast cancer together, they also campaign for improvement in standards of support and care and promote the importance of early detection.
Williams Performance Tenders was inspired by the FAB1 million campaign to create its very own pink tender. Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams, commented: “Not only is our pink Turbojet 325 stunning to look at and a great showcase for our customisation options but is, more importantly, a fantastic way for us to assist a very worthy cause. Many of our regular suppliers have helped to make the pink Turbojet 325 a reality, so our thanks go to them as well.”
